Arrival Information

The Wadi Rum Protected Area is located in the southern part of Jordan. King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba and Queen Alia International Airport in Amman are located 70 km and 290 km away from Wadi Rum, respectively.

To get to Wadi Rum Village, exit the Desert Highway to head onto Wadi Rum Road, and follow it to the valley of the village. The first place you’ll reach will be the Wadi Rum Visitors Center. Here you’ll either show your Jordan Pass or pay a 5 JOD fee for entry.

Follow the road until you get to the “Wadi Rum Rest House” (coordinates: 29°34’39.21”N 35°25’11.15”E), you will find it on your right side as you come into the village. Here you will find a cafe, picnic area, and safe overnight parking (free of charge). Upon arrival, please ask for your host, Raad, who will bring you to the camp from this meeting point.

Please note, there are no further roads into the desert, and driving on your own is not adviced.
